SIZE
The shoulder-height is about 25cm (9'I2cm) and the weight is 4 - 6.5kg (81/2 - 141/21b).
COAT
The Tibetan Spaniel has a double, long, silken-haired coat. Any colour is acceptable but the most common colour is golden.
CARE REQUIRED
The coat is fairly easy to care for. Brush the dog regularly and keep the ear passages clean.
CHARACTER
These self-assured dogs are brave, vigilant, and cautious with strangers but they are not yappy. They are also blessed with a strong constitution and intelligence.
TRAINING
Tibetan Spaniels are quite easily to train because they quickly grasp what you intend. Remain consistent with them because they can sometimes be obstinate.
SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
These dogs are lovable with children and can also get on well with other dogs and cats provided they have met them when they were young. They always warn of danger.
EXERCISE
They do not need that much exercise to keep them in good condition. It is sufficient to take them for three short walks each day and then to let them run and play off the lead in the garden.
